iServe allows you to assign members to custom service assignments. This feature allows members to see upcoming assignments on their app homepage and receive email reminders the day before they are assigned to lead.
Create Service Assignment Template #
A service assignment template must be created and connected to a service. To create a template for a service, follow these steps:
Step 1. Sign in to iServe
Step 2. Go to “Other > Services” (See Figure 1).
Step 3. Scroll to the bottom, to the “Service Assignment Templates” section
Step 4. Click on the “+” icon to add/create a new template
Step 5. On the pop-up window, type a “Template Name” and list the different positions that members can be assigned. (Figure 3).
Step 6. Separate multiple positions/assignments with the vertical slash or pipe character (usually over the backward slash on the keyboard) (Figure 4).
Step 7. Once complete, click “Save”.
The template should be seen on the list and is now available to be connected to a Service so that members can be assigned to the positions/tasks.
Please note: Templates cannot be edited. If you make a mistake or need to add another position, it is easy to delete the erroneous one and create another template.
Connecting Template to Service #
In order to assign members to service positions, the template must be connected to the Service. To connect a template to service, first create the template (see above) and then follow these steps:
Step 1. Sign in to iServe
Step 2. Go to “Other > Services”
Step 3. Scroll down to “Service Types” and click the hamburger menu icon by the service to which you want to assign a template, and click on “Edit” link (See Figures 5 & 6)
Step 4. Select the service assignment template you wish to connect to the Service Type.
Assigning Members to Service Assignment #
Step 1. Sign in to iServe
Step 2. Go to “Other > Services”
Step 3. Click on “Assignments” next to the service you wish to give an assignment to members (See Figure 8).
Step 4. Select the position and the member you wish to assign from the pull down menus (See Figure 9). All available positions will show until a member is selected and assigned to that assigned position. All members will show in the pull down.
Step 5. Click on “Save”.
The members selected and assigned to a specific position/role will receive an email reminder 12 hours before the assigned services is scheduled to occur.
